In the 3rd match minute, Kerteminde Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haakon Haarbøl to maneuver through the defense. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Edmundo Espiga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Tue Parslet sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th match minute, Kerteminde Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Neipper to maneuver through the defense. Roman Mehrtens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, Kerteminde Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Flor to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Honduras booed when Kerteminde Boldklub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Flor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kerteminde Boldklub's Roman Mehrtens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Kerteminde Boldklub getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Andre Flor hit a great ball. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Kerteminde Boldklub's Roman Mehrtens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Mehrtens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Roman Mehrtens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Roman Mehrtens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 86 minutes, Edmundo Espiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Kerteminde Boldklub players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kerteminde Boldklub getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Andre Flor hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Mehrtens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 94 minutes into the game, Emanuel Ocampo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kerteminde Boldklub the free kick. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo got a free kick in the 94th minute. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ture Vejlbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
