The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nippur de Lagash 2's Casimiro Cordarell got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Lehen in the 15th minute of play. Hernan Lehen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The supporters of Nippur de Lagash 2 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Casimiro Cordarell put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tito Chayo having to make a save. Tito Chayo had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 67 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Nippur de Lagash 2 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tito Chayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Tobias Uxio hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 81 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Tito Chayo right hand side. Tito Chayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nippur de Lagash 2 fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Nippur de Lagash 2's Reynaldo De Mitri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Hernan Lehen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nippur de Lagash 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Lehen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Nippur de Lagash 2 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Venezuela.
