Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Gonzalo Jurdan sent off a good shot on target. After 9 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fonso Zotillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XV de Piracicaba the free kick. XV de Piracicaba made a substitution. Nilson Custódio replaced Eurico Novaes. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Gonzalo Jurdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Murillo Trigo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XV de Piracicaba's protests and gave Murillo Trigo a yellow card for diving instead. Murillo Trigo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Severino Capixaba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 28th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fonso Zotillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fonso Zotillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, XV de Piracicaba's Fábio Montoia tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonzalo Jurdan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Severino Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Severino Capixaba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The XV de Piracicaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after XV de Piracicaba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fonso Zotillo quite easily take care of the ball. Severino Capixaba's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when XV de Piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Fonso Zotillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when XV de Piracicaba's Fábio Montoia shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 78th minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fonso Zotillo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 83rd minute, Murillo Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Capixaba in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Wen Yong Sha hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Teles. XV de Piracicaba's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
