Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Paulista in the 3rd minute of play. Ernani Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. After 14 minutes of play, Capivara's Ernani Nascimento made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Antunes having to interfere. The supporters of Capivara booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. In the 38th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Capivara's João Augusto Teixeira tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruy Moraes during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Capivara getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ruy Moraes hit a great ball. When Miguel Miralles fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Miguel Miralles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ruy Moraes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Capivara's Ruy Moraes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Sérgio Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Alguacil went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Capivara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Ernani Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Capivara's goalkeeper Sérgio Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. Sérgio Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Sérgio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Miralles in the 63rd minute of play. Sérgio Antunes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 2-5. Enéas Paulista hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Tomas Berganza got a free kick in the 75th minute. Sérgio Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 79th minute.
