Hub Yap Para kap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Vallin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Vallin in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play forced Hub Yap Para kap's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Argenis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. If Ingvar Vallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Schmeichel made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Hub Yap Para kap's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Peter Schmeichel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hub Yap Para kap's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot 38 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Peter Schmeichel managed to make a qualified save. Hub Yap Para kap's players were relieved. In the 39th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Hub Yap Para kap's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ingvar Vallin went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 45th match minute, Hub Yap Para kap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Argenis to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Primitivo Andino made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Daniel Zorita immediately put the ball in play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hub Yap Para kap's Marijus Abakas. If Ingvar Vallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Vallin came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hub Yap Para kap's Marijus Abakas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Primitivo Andino, made in the 74th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Hub Yap Para kap's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes Hub Yap Para kap's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ingvar Vallin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingvar Vallin's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Ingvar Vallin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 0-2. Ingvar Vallin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. When the final whistle went the supporters of Hub Yap Para kap were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ecuador side.
