Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. Capivara's Sérgio Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 7th minute of play. Enéas Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Ernani Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Capivara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davi Cruz during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Davi Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Capivara getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Davi Cruz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Capivara's Lauro Vergílio got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernani Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 39 played minutes, Capivara's João Augusto Teixeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capivara reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Nascimento in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernani Nascimento to make the kick off. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernani Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sérgio Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Capivara's Sérgio Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Capivara from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Capivara's Sérgio Antunes. Sérgio Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Antunes having to make a save. Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Capivara players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sérgio Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
