Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute Emil Văcărescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marin Dindelegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Văcărescu in the 26th minute. AC MiLaN were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filip Vlaicu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Filip Vlaicu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 34th minute. AC MiLaN's Emil Văcărescu came free and shot a quick shot against goal 40 minutes in the game, fortunately Dante Lacasa had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victor Curea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Văcărescu in the 52nd minute of play. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54thth minute of the game Silvio Jatsu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Curea was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Luca Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luca Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. In the 62nd minute, Dorel Crăcană hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victor Curea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Văcărescu in the 66th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Văcărescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Curea having to make a save. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Jatsu in the 73rd minute of the match. AC MiLaN's Victor Curea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Macos Graciani fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victor Curea quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, AC MiLaN's Victor Curea got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. AC MiLaN's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lautaro Mancebo 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Filip Vlaicu was slow to take the kick. During this time AC MiLaN's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Avram, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliodor Moisescu's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliodor Moisescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th match minute, AC MiLaN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliodor Moisescu to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
