An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Erik Vedøy in the 7th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Jon-Erik Vedøy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elton John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jon-Erik Vedøy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jon-Erik Vedøy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Lundberg came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cheeky Nuts United's Elton John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 33rd minute of play. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Cheeky Nuts United's Fabian Lundberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Lundberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Cheeky Nuts United getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Hans Valen hit a great ball. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Cheeky Nuts United's Jon-Erik Vedøy got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes of play, Cheeky Nuts United's Fabian Lundberg made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Stathis Konstantakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Stathis Konstantakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Jon-Erik Vedøy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Erik Vedøy in the 73rd minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon-Erik Vedøy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Lundberg in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After 82 minutes of play, Cheeky Nuts United's Fabian Lundberg made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Jon-Erik Vedøy notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Erik Vedøy in the 95th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheeky Nuts United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
