Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tristan Arioli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raik Topuz in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Olympique Fribourg's Florian Plouffe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tristan Arioli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 19th minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Arioli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Arioli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt Metzger during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Matt Metzger. 46 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Olympique Fribourg's Omar Bünder got a free kick in the 54th minute. Raik Topuz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Olympique Fribourg's Florian Plouffe in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Florian Plouffe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Raik Topuz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Tristan Arioli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Olympique Fribourg's Omar Bünder got a free kick in the 74th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Arioli having to interfere. A collision led to Olympique Fribourg getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Matt Metzger hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tristan Arioli. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Tristan Arioli made a huge save. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raik Topuz in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Omar Bünder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcellus Walpert to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tristan Arioli could save by the left post. The Olympique Fribourg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
