Wojciech Zacharek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojciech Zacharek, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Sieroszewice booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Lenertej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arkadiusz Lenertej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Arkadiusz Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wojciech Zacharek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Wojciech Zacharek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Wojciech Zacharek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 played minutes Sieroszewice got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Winszman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 56th minute of play forced Sieroszewice's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Lenertej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sieroszewice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Wojciech Zacharek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wojciech Zacharek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Wojciech Zacharek scored 0-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnaba Winograd in the 86th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arkadiusz Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Winograd came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiusz Lenertej was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sieroszewice's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
