Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mózes Bartha in the 9th minute of play. Nándor Jászberényi hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Sebastian Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andor Mester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. István Szőlősi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Luca Espinar suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 24 minutes into the game, István Szőlősi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szombathelyi Haladás's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. István Szőlősi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Costa to maneuver through the defense. Andor Mester came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga. But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Andor Mester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 52nd minute of play forced Szombathelyi Haladás's goalkeeper Andor Mester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mózes Bartha in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andor Mester made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olivér Hegedűs's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andor Mester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute of the game Gusztáv Détári made a throw-in which Nándor Jászberényi played forward. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Christian Sancho got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 73 minutes of play, Szombathelyi Haladás's Mózes Bartha made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Andor Mester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nándor Jászberényi in the 79th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Olivér Hegedűs put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Gusztáv Détári kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Andor Mester made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 89th minute. A collision led to Szombathelyi Haladás getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mózes Bartha hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Szombathelyi Haladás were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
