Pencho Beshovishki's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pencho Beshovishki helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Pencho Beshovishki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Estevon having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilcho Golomehov in the 33rd minute of the match. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Juan Estevon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yani Futlev hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Maximiliano Escribano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Nikolay Momchilov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Juan Estevon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
