An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 22nd minute of play forced A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Cristiano Granata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Casaus to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Cristiano Granata in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enzo Genta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. After a beautiful solo achivement in the 45th minute, Mariano Lacasa easily set the score to 2-0 through a well directed shot that entered the goal by the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 52nd minute of play forced A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Cristiano Granata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Granata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Guillermo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Cristiano Granata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Cristiano Granata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 76 minutes, Mariano Lacasa made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Cristiano Granata tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute Rodrigue Léonard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Cristiano Granata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 87th minute of play forced A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Cristiano Granata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Granata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Granata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chile could leave the field as winners, despite A.S. Ian Fenomeni having more of the ball for most of the match.
