After having played for 7 minutes, Luca Espinar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Espinar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Job Zijden's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Job Zijden helped the player get up and apologised. Ron Westerink who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 20th play minutes Edmundo Espiga shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Jeffrey Siemers and just under the crossbar into goal. After 23 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. In the 26th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Jeffrey Siemers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 27th minute of the match. Jeffrey Siemers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jeffrey Siemers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 36th minute of play forced Bierunese's goalkeeper Jeffrey Siemers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Huib Alberts fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bierunese's protests and gave Huib Alberts a yellow card for diving instead. Honduras's Xavier Costa was substituted for Moises Tafalla. After 40 played minutes Bierunese got a freekick which was hit by Job Zijden. Edmundo Espiga's late challenge caught a Bierunese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bierunese's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Sancho came free, but Jeffrey Siemers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeffrey Siemers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bierunese reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luca Espinar during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Krijnenburg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bierunese booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Honduras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bierunese.
