After 4 minutes of play, KFC Welden's Frederik Van Beringhen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wouter Gijselinckx in the 11th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristen Spoelberghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Kristen Spoelberghe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederik Van Beringhen in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Mastache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute of the game Vincent Dejonghe made a throw-in which Kristen Spoelberghe played forward. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wouter Gijselinckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Wouter Gijselinckx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Vincent Dejonghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gillis Degens was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Abram Sarmiento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Sarmiento really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 42nd minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Carballar lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Pedro Manzanares had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Raf De Weijngaert's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After the first half KFC Welden were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wouter Gijselinckx to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Brent De Vadder came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernand De Spiegeleire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Van Eyken in the 59th minute. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gillis Degens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KFC Welden made a substitution. Henri-Xavier Van den Dries replaced Wouter Gijselinckx. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. The supporters of KFC Welden booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. KFC Welden's Gillis Degens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 75th minute of play. Gillis Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gillis Degens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Mastache went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raf De Weijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The supporters of Colombia booed when KFC Welden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederik Van Beringhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gillis Degens. KFC Welden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Mastache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When the referee ended the match the Colombia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
