Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Justino Kusko, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anier Seme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julian Hulberto was slow to take the kick. During this time A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's players had a chance to rest. Julian Hulberto made a great header on A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Kusko in the 94th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
