Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alessio Zappacosta took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes, Fabio Scalia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corte di Camasco and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Corte di Camasco getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fabio Scalia hit a great ball. Dennis Sansoni made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Dennis Sansoni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Dennis Sansoni made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Cino in the 16th minute of play. Alessio Zappacosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Anthony De Vincentis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Anthony De Vincentis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Corte di Camasco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dennis Sansoni. Axel Tasis might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Sansoni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Sansoni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Cino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Zappacosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Dennis Sansoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After 61 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. In the 62nd minute Alessio Zappacosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Zappacosta in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Cino. After 82 played minutes Corte di Camasco got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Scalia. In the 84th minute, Abel Carballo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Corte di Camasco's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Sansoni came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Cino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. If Christian Cino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Costa Rica were victorious despite being under pressure from Corte di Camasco for much of the match.
