Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, FC Vlahuță's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Mihai Rusu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costin Babarada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, FC Vlahuță's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Mihai Rusu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mihai Rusu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 31st minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Rusu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after FC Vlahuță's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmundo Espiga took the corner. The corner ended in Edmundo Espiga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Vlahuță's Mihai Rusu did a great save. After 35 played minutes FC Vlahuță got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Tomozei. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Honduras booed when FC Vlahuță was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esa Hagelberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costin Babarada went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costin Babarada was the one to do the kick off. Moises Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Petru Bute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Rusu having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Babarada came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Esa Hagelberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vlahuță's supporters rose to their feet, but Esa Hagelberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcelo Trobbiani in the 68 minute of the game. In the 72nd match minute, FC Vlahuță was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Trobbiani to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Petru Bute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Cosoreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, FC Vlahuță's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Moises Tafalla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play.
