Moises Fernandino started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Abram Luque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Gædd FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. If Alf-Inge Hol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the game, Gædd FK's Severin Hussein nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf-Inge Hol in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Gædd FK got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severin Hussein ran over to the corner to take the kick. Severin Hussein made a great header on Gædd FK's corner, it was just that El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita managed to reach the ball for a save. Andreas Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's Alf-Inge Hol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severin Hussein's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Ricardo Zorita skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kjetil Hellevik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. After 36 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Kjetil Hellevik sent off a good shot on target. Severin Hussein took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 44 minutes, Moises Fernandino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Gædd FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Moises Fernandino hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severin Hussein to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Kjetil Hellevik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjetil Hellevik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Severin Hussein put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Jonathan Eidsvik charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Eidsvik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gædd FK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jonathan Eidsvik hit a great ball. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Berglund having to interfere. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severin Hussein in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Severin Hussein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Andreas Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Severin Hussein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Severin Hussein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gædd FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Severin Hussein succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 9-0. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Moises Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Severin Hussein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Gædd FK were the better team. Gædd FK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
