In the 4th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduard Drăgoescu in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match, Eduard Drăgoescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Ploieșteanu in the 10th minute of play. Eduard Drăgoescu scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A well-hit corner resulted in Vaggelis Tsiartas heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Eduard Drăgoescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Ploieșteanu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Ploieșteanu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Emil Nae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute of the match, Vaggelis Tsiartas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FokuMe's goalkeeper Emil Nae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vaggelis Tsiartas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Nae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, 孟强桦 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and 孟强桦 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Scorţea kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, 孟强桦 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and 孟强桦 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavel Ploieșteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FokuMe booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the FokuMe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Vlad Ivan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FokuMe's Pavel Ploieșteanu got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Vlad Ivan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Vlad Ivan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FokuMe's Emil Nae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Ploieșteanu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aurelian Răchitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelian Răchitan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 88th play minutes Pavel Ploieșteanu shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Ploieșteanu in the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Aurelian Răchitan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Aurelian Răchitan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Ploieșteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
