Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kennet Hemdorff having to make a save. A well done corner resulted in Lucas Ellergaard drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper. In the 20th minute Silas Hørkilde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Silas Hørkilde sent off a good shot on target. After 33 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. In the 43rd minute, Mohamed Sustmann fired a really elegant long shot, but Benito Sanz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 47th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kennet Hemdorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Magnus Thopel kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Ringsted drenge's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Kennet Hemdorff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 76th minute. The corner ended in Axel Tasis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ringsted drenge's Kennet Hemdorff did a great save. In the 79th match minute, Ringsted drenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Hørkilde to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Ringsted drenge's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Kennet Hemdorff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ringsted drenge's Kennet Hemdorff got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Costa Rica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Costa Rica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
