Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Serbülent Baysan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Anderlecht Huachipato's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serbülent Baysan came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Astudillo in the 18th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Baysan having to interfere. Serbülent Baysan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Peake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serbülent Baysan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victorino Peake was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Joel Gaona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Serbülent Baysan. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 60th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Alexandrino Gameiro was substituted for Baumar Ontanilla. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of play. Serbülent Baysan came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serbülent Baysan. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Serbülent Baysan made a huge save. In the 82nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Serbülent Baysan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Serbülent Baysan made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Baysan having to interfere. Serbülent Baysan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Anderlecht Huachipato.
