Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Del Bello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Ribera's Edmondo Braccia got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Cavanna hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Cristiano Fantauzzi hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Alessandro Del Bello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Ribera's Dalmacio Arixo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 29 minutes, Hans Wery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Wery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hans Wery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hans Wery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 played minutes Ribera got a freekick which was hit by Hans Wery. A sloppy throw-in by Ibrahim Türker in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Amerigo Bolli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmondo Braccia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Del Bello having to interfere. Cristiano Fantauzzi kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Alessandro Del Bello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Wery, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute, Hans Wery ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Dalmacio Arixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 91st minute of play forced Ribera's goalkeeper Alessandro Del Bello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Hans Wery ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
