Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Kilström. Arne Kilström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. When Morgan Blom fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AIK FOTBOLL's protests and gave Morgan Blom a yellow card for diving instead. Morgan Blom hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Arne Kilström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isac Sundström during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. AIK FOTBOLL's Andréas Fransson was substituted for Morgan Blom. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Arne Kilström threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luca Zorita scored 0-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arne Kilström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arne Kilström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
