Mohammad Kohler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tibor Ďumbier hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Aldaír Araújo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Mohammad Kohler in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Mohammad Kohler made a huge save. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammad Kohler having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Aldaír Araújo sent off a good shot on target. In the 66thth minute of the game Martin Mračka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Martin Mračka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldaír Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldaír Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Tutankagoal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldaír Araújo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute, Aldaír Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
