Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shi Bang Xiang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Shi Bang Xiang. FC Jamala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renátó Csernyi in the 96th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
