Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Florencio Herbella took the kick off in the first half of the match. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Maturrango's Marcial Zuazna. But to his dismay, Marcial Zuazna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Zuazna came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Weather Piedrahita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Weather Piedrahita in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Maturrango's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th minute, Milagros Fraga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Weather Piedrahita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 33rd minute of play forced Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Weather Piedrahita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hitzeder Serans, made in the 34th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Peru's Weather Piedrahita threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luz Tejedor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Herbella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Zuazna in the 38th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Cristobal Tabby in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Weather Piedrahita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Herbella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Zuazna in the 61st minute. Weather Piedrahita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Weather Piedrahita was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 68th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weather Piedrahita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Atletico Maturrango defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Weather Piedrahita. The Atletico Maturrango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weather Piedrahita should have stopped the shot. Weather Piedrahita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weather Piedrahita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of play. Xizavier Varona hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Luz Tejedor took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Weather Piedrahita. Weather Piedrahita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 84th minute of play forced Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Weather Piedrahita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Weather Piedrahita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Peru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Atletico Maturrango for a fine match.
