The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Paulo da Rocha got free with Dante Lacasa in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edinho Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 33 minutes Magoo BR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Facundo Cadaval heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo da Silveira came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Edinho Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Jaime Peralta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 81st minute. Edinho Santana made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Magoo BR booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona was extremely unlucky when he, in the 98th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
