Lautaro Mancebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Zula Glapiak came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. POGRADECARI FK's Rional Bardhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save POGRADECARI FK from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zula Glapiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play forced POGRADECARI FK's goalkeeper Rional Bardhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rional Bardhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by POGRADECARI FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rional Bardhi was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 45th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
