If Eduardo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ceuta FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. João Caneira hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Ceuta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Fontirroig came free, but Mateus Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Chicote in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateus Belém saved Ceuta FC from getting behind. After 37 minutes, João Caneira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ceuta FC and the Bolivia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, João Caneira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nélson Barros got a throw-in 61 minutes in the game and the ball was received by João Caneira. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Malafaia in the 66th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso de la Cruz got free with Mateus Belém in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ceuta FC's zone, Mario Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Belém came out of the goal and Mario Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mateus Belém. Mateus Belém yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When Alfredo Ferrant fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Alfredo Ferrant a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Alfredo Ferrant got a free kick in the 89th minute. A collision led to Ceuta FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Gervásio Malafaia hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Mario Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolivia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateus Belém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute Eduardo Fontirroig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolivia were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Ceuta FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mario Fernandino took the corner. Mario Fernandino made a great header on Bolivia's corner, it was just that Ceuta FC's Mateus Belém managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bolivia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
