After a rather tough play, Cheeky Nuts United's Lukas Grønnestad got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Elton John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jon-Erik Vedøy came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fabian Lundberg sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Jon-Erik Vedøy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheeky Nuts United the free kick. In the 24th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Erik Vedøy in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jon-Erik Vedøy in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 30 minutes, Jon-Erik Vedøy made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 34 minutes, Theodor Heiberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheeky Nuts United and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cheeky Nuts United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theodor Heiberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Jon-Erik Vedøy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 47thth minute of the game Fabian Lundberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Cheeky Nuts United were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-5 became the score in the 53rd minute when Jon-Erik Vedøy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Lundberg in the 58th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Jon-Erik Vedøy sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lundberg in the 64th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheeky Nuts United made a substitution. Henrik Rakvåg replaced Lukas Grønnestad. Elton John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Doctor Potass left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheeky Nuts United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon-Erik Vedøy got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doctor Potass in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Fabian Lundberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute Fabian Lundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
