Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Bar-Met FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacy Dziedziak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacy Dziedziak saved Bar-Met FC from getting behind. Bar-Met FC's Ignacy Dziedziak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignacy Dziedziak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiburcio Atarrabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacy Dziedziak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. Ambrosio Lehoi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th match minute, Bar-Met FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Lehoi to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacy Dziedziak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Mano was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Pascual Urbes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bar-Met FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 54 played minutes Bar-Met FC got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Urbes. 56 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ignacy Dziedziak. Patricio Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Bar-Met FC's Ambrosio Lehoi got a free kick in the 58th minute. During the 60th minute of the match Alex Chicote completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alex Chicote a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 79th minute, Conrado Mano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ambrosio Lehoi hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes, Tiburcio Atarrabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bar-Met FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santo Socorro took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Bar-Met FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
