Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edmundo Espiga got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stanny Van Wontergem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Andries Mangelschot came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Van Mechelen. 12 minutes in the game, Miguel Van Mechelen got a free kick from a good position and fired away a shot. The shot didn't have enough spin and went out of bounds to the left of the goal. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joery Van Mechelen, made in the 15th minute of the game. Andries Mangelschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Leo Van Mechelen hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Stanny Van Wontergem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Van Mechelen scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Joery Van Mechelen in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Andries Mangelschot kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 38th minute. YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 42nd minute of play. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joery Van Mechelen, made in the 47th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Van Mechelen made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Andries Mangelschot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Van Mechelen in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Stanny Van Wontergem to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Miguel Van Mechelen took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Van Mechelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Leo Van Mechelen. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Van Mechelen in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joery Van Mechelen, made in the 84th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Van Mechelen came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Joery Van Mechelen in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Many of Honduras's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Honduras may have spent more time on the ball, but YR Mechelen were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
