The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hubert Andberg during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Andberg in the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Republic of Jämtland's Jimmy Gustavsson got a free kick in the 12th minute. Hubert Andberg hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Abram Luque struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Adrian Brenner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. 22 minutes into the match, Republic of Jämtland's goalkeeper Adrian Brenner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Adrian Brenner made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Brenner came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Andberg came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Sjöö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When Robin Björkkvist came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Republic of Jämtland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Björkkvist couldn't finish the play. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Republic of Jämtland eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
