Sebastian Sandberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 32 played minutes, Xv de Piracicaba's Jeronimo Txatxu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xv de Piracicaba reached it. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastian Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, Xv de Piracicaba's Ramon Menezes made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Xv de Piracicaba defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Sandberg. The Xv de Piracicaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Sandberg should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Menezes in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfredo Rocchi who took care of the corner kick. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ander Uibomäe came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Min Son in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Menezes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Alfredo Rocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Ramon Menezes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-5. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Xv de Piracicaba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
