Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Wiktor Rozanski in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Wiktor Rozanski made a huge save. 34 minutes into the game, Robert Tarasek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GT Real Krosno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Robert Tarasek hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miromir Ferfecki, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wiktor Rozanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, GT Real Krosno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Tarasek to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Wiktor Rozanski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Wiktor Rozanski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulryk Weyna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Zygmunt Betonowy sent off a good shot on target. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, GT Real Krosno still came away with the win.
