Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) 16 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Oliver Bierhoff sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute ADM Taquaras were awarded a corner. Malcolm Westerberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Rolando Noboa was a little too slow when Áron Bódog got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Malcolm Westerberg with Áron Bódog as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Luz Tejedor scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Moreno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Peru were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Bierhoff made a kick off. Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 59th minute of play. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jeremias Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino was substituted for Oliver Bierhoff. Peru were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after ADM Taquaras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Malcolm Westerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru played a much better game than ADM Taquaras and deserved their victory. The ADM Taquaras players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
