When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 50th minute. After 51 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Guido Bautista. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Isidoro Dolfos in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Segio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 59th minute of the match Club Almirante Brown got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabricio Lorencio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Bautista in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Guido Bautista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Bautista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Guido Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Bautista in the 67th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Prospero Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Almirante Brown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Abad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Guido Bautista came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Club Almirante Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Bautista couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Isidoro Dolfos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Aristides Rayman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 93rdth minute of the game Guido Bautista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
