Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. Oliver Bierhoff who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Celsinho Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celsinho Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Celsinho Perez hit a great ball. USA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
