Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liviu Aldulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Cetatea Suceava booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Tao Xiong Xuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aykut Bartu in the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Aykut Bartu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Aykut Bartu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cetatea Suceava getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tao Xiong Xuan hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tao Xiong Xuan in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aykut Bartu in the 41st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liviu Aldulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Cetatea Suceava's Francesco Alfonsi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 48th minute, Aykut Bartu made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Alfonsi during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Panama booed when Cetatea Suceava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Alfonsi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristiano Ronaldinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 62 minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Tao Xiong Xuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match, Tao Xiong Xuan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Cetatea Suceava booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Cetatea Suceava's Cristiano Ronaldinho. But to his dismay, Cristiano Ronaldinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Tao Xiong Xuan sent off a good shot on target. Tao Xiong Xuan had several of the Panama's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 92 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Marcos Cotilla as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tao Xiong Xuan in the 96th minute. The Panama fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cetatea Suceava were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
