The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Ümit Sebuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. The 3liteperformance players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
