If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fergus Maina having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Godoy in the 18th minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fergus Maina was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute, Antonio Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Gerber came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierre Lauri in the 40th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Fergus Maina. Ämmer Sportfreaks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 47th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. Gutierre Lauris short, quick shot in the 49thth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fergus Maina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fergus Maina was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Fergus Maina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gutierre Lauri in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 75th minute of play forced Ämmer Sportfreaks's goalkeeper Fergus Maina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ämmer Sportfreaks's Fergus Maina got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After 96 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. The Ämmer Sportfreaks fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
