In the 13th match minute, Bäckeby Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Bergström to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulvis Kreigers skillfully saved the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Mickelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Lucas Sundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 34th minute Bäckeby Fotboll were awarded a corner. Johannes Mickelsson went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Bäckeby Fotboll's corner Johannes Mickelsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulvis Kreigers having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Bäckeby Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Sjögren. Lucas Sundström kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Ulvis Kreigers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inge Albäck during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 55 minutes into the match, Bäckeby Fotboll's goalkeeper Ulvis Kreigers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Andino got free with Ulvis Kreigers in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bäckeby Fotboll's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Ulvis Kreigers, making the score, 1-3. Bäckeby Fotboll made a substitution. Johannes Jansson replaced Johannes Mickelsson. In the 78th minute of the match Zbyszek Pruss shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bäckeby Fotboll's Mikael Bergström got a free kick in the 79th minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ulvis Kreigers made a huge save. In the 89th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Bäckeby Fotboll's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Bäckeby Fotboll's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Jansson in the 93rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulvis Kreigers having to make a save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bäckeby Fotboll throughout the match.
