Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frisia AFC's goalkeeper Santos Vigil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frisia AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Santos Vigil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 18th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Melchor Esiquio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Vigil having to interfere. Tomas Illescas scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Vigil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Godfredo Efraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Luciano Sadurni made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Endura in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Americo Matia hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Frisia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Matia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Patricio Costa took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Santos Vigil to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Sadurni in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Efraim in the 69th minute of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Frisia AFC's Cornelio Etxatxu was substituted for Ramiro Xacintu. In the 71st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Esiquio in the 72nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 minutes of play, Frisia AFC's Leon Videl made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the game, Abel Txatxu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frisia AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 81 played minutes Frisia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Txatxu. A long shot from Tomas Illescas in the 81st minute of play was well struck, but Santos Vigil made a really good save at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Efraim in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Frisia AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
