Thanks to some nice moves Geovani Mendonça could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Shao Ming Jian hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Maicon Palmeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Maicon Palmeira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Vicente Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. E. C. Uruguaiana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot by Shao Ming Jian from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Maicon Palmeiras short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Maicon Palmeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-0 in the 38 minute of play. Maicon Palmeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maicon Palmeira ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maicon Palmeira got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Maicon Palmeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, E. C. Uruguaiana's Ricardo Schneider got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 53 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. 55 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maicon Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Maicon Palmeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Maicon Palmeira notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Maicon Palmeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Maicon Palmeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Geovani Mendonça put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Maicon Palmeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the E. C. Uruguaiana players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
