Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Gazanfer Sabeddin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernandinho Muslera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to AntuFB getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Yusuf Bahadır Kunt hit a great ball. AntuFB's Fernandinho Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by AntuFB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 36th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Norm Mcinnes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AntuFB's protests and gave Norm Mcinnes a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AntuFB! Fernandinho Muslera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play. Agustín Saelices was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gazanfer Sabeddin sent off a good shot on target. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Norm Mcinnes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Gazanfer Sabeddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AntuFB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daddy Sugar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Aybar Samih kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Gazanfer Sabeddin made a great header on AntuFB's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gazanfer Sabeddin in the 94th minute of play. In the 97thth minute of the game Gazanfer Sabeddin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. AntuFB succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
