The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovani Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Montenegro. In the 64th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When E. C. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind E. C. Uruguaiana's goalkeeper Vicente Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geovani Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Felix Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E. C. Uruguaiana the free kick. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Maicon Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E. C. Uruguaiana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maicon Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than E. C. Uruguaiana.
