The supporters of El Salvador booed when 提钱退休 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. 雷梁 didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. When 雷梁 fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 提钱退休's protests and gave 雷梁 a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, 提钱退休 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 雷梁 to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. 张锋海 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. 龚朋升 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. 龚朋升 came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Fernandino to make the kick off. Luis Rubio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, 乔烨阳 managed to get in a good position for a shot. 提钱退休's supporters rose to their feet, but 乔烨阳 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 龚朋升 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when 乔烨阳 got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 龚朋升 came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, 蒋文广 managed to get in a good position for a shot. 提钱退休's supporters rose to their feet, but 蒋文广 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
