Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 8 played minutes Vätö got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Pihlgren. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ingmar Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Åke Söderman in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Söderman in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Stig-Åke Söderman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Vätö were awarded a corner. Stig-Åke Söderman went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Birger Henriksson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Emil Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig-Åke Söderman who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Stig-Åke Söderman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 41st minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Stig-Åke Söderman could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Söderman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Hermansson in the 55th minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Vätö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmund Valrot kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Vätö's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Ingmar Håkansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Söderman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Vätö were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stig-Åke Söderman took the corner. A very good chance. Ingmar Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Henry Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vätö's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the game, Evert Sörman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vätö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Evert Sörman hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Stig-Åke Söderman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ingmar Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Vätö fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
