To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 龚朋升 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of El Salvador booed when 提钱退休 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. 乔烨阳 didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by 雷梁 with 宋宇广 as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of El Salvador booed when 提钱退休 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. 叶翔 didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 蒋文广 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as El Salvador's Moises Fernandino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 龚朋升. That made the score 0-1 after 53 minutes of play. 61 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of 提钱退休's 龚朋升. 龚朋升 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Moises Fernandino came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 龚朋升 could save by the left post. 蒋文广 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 蒋文广 took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After having played for 78 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 张锋海 in the 82nd minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 提钱退休 the free kick. Moises Fernandino hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
